Apologetics: The Problem of Evil
Contrary to the claims of countless atheists, the existence of evil and suffering in the universe does not preclude God’s existence. To prove otherwise, atheists must perform two philosophical feats:
They must prove that it would be objectively evil for an all-good God to allow evil and suffering to exist by finding a source for objective morality other than God, the objective moral lawgiver.
As far-from-all-knowing beings, atheists must somehow prove that an all-knowing God either cannot or probably does not have morally sufficient reasons for temporarily allowing evil and suffering to exist.
